Founder & CEO

Marcus Doyle

Mr. Doyle is the Chief Executive Officer of Veracity Research Company. He has more than 32 years of investigative experience in both law enforcement and insurance fraud. Being the co-founder of one of the nation's largest and fully-staffed investigation companies has made him one of the most highly sought-after speakers in the fraud industry. Mr. Doyle has been the keynote speaker at numerous national conferences over the past decade. He received an honorable discharge upon completion of his tenure with the United States Army, where he served in the Military Police Corps (MP) as an investigator in criminal cases. He then pursued further education, majoring in Criminal Administration at Southwest Texas State University. Mr. Doyle's extensive background and knowledge has been instrumental in the prosecution of countless fraud cases at the local, state and federal levels. In addition to the many speaking engagements and educational programs he is involved in, Mr. Doyle remains extremely active in the day-to-day operations of VRC. He has a "hands-on" approach and dedicates many hours to the education of claim handlers, risk managers, special investigators and self-insured executives throughout the United States. Mr. Doyle continues to author fraud plans and provide consulting for several dedicated producers.

Lance Foster

Mr. Foster is the President and Cofounder of Veracity Research Company. He has more than 30 years of investigative experience in both law enforcement and insurance defense investigations. He has assisted in the prosecution of many fraud cases at the local, state and federal levels. He has authored fraud plans and SIU programs for several dedicated producers, and has provided SIU consulting for these and other insureds. Mr. Foster also attends numerous insurance industry conferences and trade shows throughout the country. He routinely presents Continuing Education seminars to insurance companies and third party administrators across the United States. Mr. Foster frequently hosts education seminars on state licensing requirements, state case laws as they pertain to the insurance industry and federal statutes. Mr. Foster received an honorable discharge upon his completion of his tenure in the United States Army. Specifically, Mr. Foster's diverse training and specialties exist in the arenas of Military Police, Military Police Investigations Supervisor, Executive Protection, Hostage Negotiations, Evidence Custodian and Private Investigator specializing in insurance defense investigations.

Greg James

Greg has spent the majority of his 20-year career working in operations and commercial roles in health care and life insurance services. Greg has extensive experience in distributed multi-site operations, business integration, sales and commercial operations, product management, process improvement, strategic marketing, in-bound and out-bound call centers, and general management.

During his career, Greg has brought new services and products to market, established new sales teams, led projects to integrate new businesses, built new call centers from the ground-up, and championed many process improvement initiatives – both large and small.

Greg is passionate about bringing people together and developing highly collaborative teams to serve customers and employees, solve problems, optimize service delivery, and continuously improve.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Idaho State University, a Master of Science in Medical Informatics from the University of Utah School of Medicine, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Westminster College. Additionally, Greg is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has a professional certification in Project Management.

Greg and his wife, Bobbie, have two children, Gabe and Ellie. In his free time, Greg enjoys hiking, mountain biking, photography, and spending time with family and friends.

Vice President of Human Resources

Sarah Stout

Over the past 15 years, Sarah has maintained and improved upon several positions within a variety of organizations, carrying out Accounting and HR functions, such as payroll, benefits coordination, audits and supervising staff members. Throughout her career at VRC, she has helped to grow the Accounting department, and in 2010 made a transition to the VRC Human Resources team. Sarah has taken on new roles within the HR department such as the oversight of recruiting, administrative staff and the Desktop Investigations Unit. She in instrumental in implementing new policy and procedure. Sarah has an extensive background in dispute resolution and has been a liaison between the employees and managers. Sarah's experience in Accounting has allowed her to be involved in some Operational Division proceedings such as conducting audits and providing ideas for improvement. Mrs. Stout holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Texas Woman's University. Throughout her college career, Sarah was a Legal Assistant and Office Manager for a Criminal Defense firm in Denton, Texas. Sarah lives in Krum, Texas with her husband, Mike and two children, Cooper and Harper. In her spare time, she is involved in running relays, 5K's and half marathons.
Vice President of Finance

Erin Horak

Erin Horak has over 17 years of accounting experience spanning over various industries including Software, Healthcare and Insurance Services. Erin specializes in process improvement, procedures and leveraging technology to increase efficiencies.
Mrs. Horak has recently upgraded to a new accounting platform to accommodate the growth at VRC in the role of Controller. Throughout her career she has led several different teams ranging in size from 2-15 people.
Erin holds a Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Taxation from Baylor University. She has been a CPA in the state of Texas since 2004.
When Erin is not at work, she spends time with her husband Brad and their two kids, Samantha and Jake. Samantha plays in the school band, runs cross country and is involved in competitive dance. Jake enjoys playing tennis and golf. Erin and her family love to be outdoors, hiking, hunting and playing golf as much as possible.

Richard Boivin

With more than 22 years in the information technology and software development industry, Mr. Boivin has served as the technology expert for VRC. Since 2004 he has overseen the development of our flagship Investigative Management System™ products and services. He has a vast background including information security, software development, and networking and systems engineering. In addition, he has managed large information systems and network upgrades for fortune 500 companies such as NCR, Texas Instruments, AT&T, and Citigroup. With a focus on software automation, he specializes in creation of business logic software and process flow technologies. The incorporation of this expertise has made VRC's Investigation Management System™ one of the most sought-after technology products in the industry. Mr. Boivin and his development team are responsible for the creation of an advanced, all-digital HD video product line for surveillance. This innovative product incorporates a proprietary conversion process that produces surveillance video at the highest possible resolution and clarity.

Dalene Bartholomew

A Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator, and Certified Fraud Examiner, Dalene enjoys providing innovative insurance fraud solutions, building a dynamic team and creating strategic partnerships. Forward-thinking senior executive with 20+ year record of success combatting fraud, tactical planning and generating growth. A recognized public speaker, author, insurance fraud specialist, anti-fraud training expert, creator of strategic partnerships, advisory board member and problem solver. Dalene was awarded “Fraud Fighter of the Year” by Anti-Fraud Alliance and contributes as a member of the ACFE Advisory Council, Employers' Fraud Task Force Advisory Committee and Advisory Council of Kids’ Chance. Dalene’s moto is “Change is the only constant and continuous improvement is the only path; never accept, “We have always done it that way.” Since 1998, Dalene has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters as Past Board Chair, past Big Sister and Current Advisory Board Member.

Robert Hughey

With over 18 years of Investigative experience, Robert Hughey helps VRC customers overcome the challenges they face today in Insurance Fraud, Compliance, and Risk Management. With a global perspective, Mr. Hughey is a recognized expert in Special Investigation Unit processes related to Insurance Fraud, with several national speaking credits and continuing education seminars. His career has focused on business development within surveillance investigations, claims investigations, and continuing education. As a Project Engineer at one point during his career, Mr. Hughey created risk management solutions that drastically cut loss time and improved overall safety guidelines still in use today. Mr. Hughey has a business degree from West Texas A&M. He serves on the Advisory board for the New Mexico Worker's Compensation Review Panel. He is also very involved in local charities with his wife. His passions include spending time with his family in the great outdoors and volunteering at his local church.
